James Jantarasami has a background as a litigator with experience in a broad variety of business and real estate-related disputes, in all phases, from demand letter through discovery, trial and appeal. He has handled hundreds of cases as lead counsel, involving diverse issues such as corporate dissolutions, shareholder disputes, real estate and foreclosure litigation, and computer/internet fraud and intrusion. He has regularly faced off in court against well-funded and powerful institutional adversaries, and a number of his court victories have resulted in published decisions of broad significance to practitioners.

About half of James' practice today is transactional, focusing on residential and commercial real estate closings, leasing, debt/equity financing, and corporate work relating to the formation of investment vehicles, joint venture structures, and offshore entities for foreign investors.

With his strong case management skills and network of consultants and co-counsel, James seeks to deliver top-quality service with maximum efficiency and personal attention.

James received his B.A. in 2001 from the University of Virginia, and his J.D. in 2004 from New York University School of Law.  He is admitted to practice in New York State, the Federal courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.  He has served as an instructor in duly accredited Continuing Legal Education classes, teaching contract law principles and litigation essentials to other licensed attorneys.  He is a licensed real estate broker, a member of the Real Property Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, and a member of the Asian American Bar Association of New York.
